BlackRock Allocation Target Shares Series A Portfolio BATAX aims for a high level of current income that is consistent with capital preservation. In order to pursue its objective, the fund will primarily invest in asset-backed securities, commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities issued or guaranteed by the government of the United States. BATAX has returned 6.5% in the past three years.

As of March 2019, BATAX held 681 issues, with 1.02% of its assets invested in Capital One Multi Asset Execution Trust 2.93%.

BlackRock Advantage Small Cap Growth Fund Investor A Shares CSGEX seeks capital growth over the long term. Most of the fund’s assets are invested in equity securities of small-cap companies. The fund also invests the majority of its assets in securities or instruments of issuers located in the United States. The fund’s advisor defines these small-cap companies as those with market capitalizations, at the time of the purchase comparable in size to the companies in the Russell 2000 Index. CSGEX has returned 15% in the past three years.

BlackRock Mid-Cap Growth Equity Portfolio Investor A Shares BMGAX aims for capital appreciation over the long term. The fund invests the majority of its assets in equity securities of mid-cap U.S. companies which the fund’s management feels would have more than average earnings growth potential. The fund mostly invests in common stocks, preferred stocks, convertible securities and other equity securities.BMGAX has returned 21.6% in the past three years.

BMGAXhas an expense ratio of 1.05% compared with the category average of 1.19%.
