Philip Condon is Managing Director and Head of Municipal Bond portfolio management for retail and tax-exempt advisory clients. He joined DWS in 1983 and served as Director of the Municipal Bond department and of the Municipal Bond Research Group. He previously served as a Fixed Income Analyst for Connecticut General Life Insurance Company (CIGNA) and an Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Fund Profile and Description

DWS Managed Municipal Bonds S Fund seeks to provide income exempt from regular federal income taxes. DWS Managed Municipal Bonds S Fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in securities issued by municipalities across the U.S. and in other securities whose income is free from regular federal income tax. It may invest up to 20% of net assets in securities whose income is subject to alternative minimum tax. DWS Managed Municipal Bonds S Fund can buy many types of municipal securities of all maturities. It normally invests at least 65% of total assets in municipal securities of the top three grades of credit quality and may invest up to 10% of total assets in high yield debt securities of the fifth and sixth credit grades.
