RS Small Cap Equity A Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation. RS Small Cap Equity A Fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in equity securities of small-capitalization companies with market capitalizations of $3 billion or below, which may include common stocks, preferred stocks, or other securities convertible into common stock. It may invest up to 20% of assets in companies with market capitalizations within the range of the Russell 2000 index but are above $3 billion. RS Small Cap Equity A Fund typically invests most of assets in securities of U.S. companies but may also invest up to 15% of net assets in foreign securities.
