American Century Small Cap Value A Fund seeks long-term capital growth; income is a secondary consideration. American Century Small Cap Value A Fund invests at least 80% of assets in small-cap companies. Equity securities include common stock, preferred stock, and equity-equivalent securities, such as convertible securities, stock futures contracts or stock index futures contracts. The portfolio managers consider small cap companies to include those with a market capitalization no larger than that of the largest company in the S&P Small Cap 600 Index or the Russell 2000 Index.
