What is bond rating?

A bond rating is a credit score or a grade for a bond to indicate its financial strength and ability to pay on a bond on time. A AAA bond rating is the best rating while C is the worst bond rating. Some services use D as the lowest and that typically indicates that they have several bonds in default for non-payment and you should be wary.
